LA SACRISTÍA — NIGHT’S THRESHOLDS
La Sacristía is an editorial and art direction project developed for an after-dinner experience.
The name refers to the sacristy as a space before and after the ritual: a quiet, reserved room separated from the public. This idea is translated into the project as a space entered once the celebration has ended.
The starting point was to rethink the traditional cigar bar format, replacing a standard menu with a structure based on “thresholds”. Each threshold proposes a pairing and a different stage of the night, without requiring a fixed order.
The project draws from the spatial logic of historic Andalusian wineries, where movement is not linear and time is perceived differently.
The outcome is a small-format publication conceived as an object: elegant composition, careful use of space, hand-stitched binding and a combination of different paper stocks.
